Nanooze Exhibit

From May - November, 2009, the Marcus Nanotechnology Building is home to the Nanooze Exhibit. This interactive exhibition is designed to introduce nanotechnology concepts and help educate visitors interested in learning more about nanotechnology.

Molecules in Motion Theater

Stir the projected image of a salt crystal and see how the heat causes the crystal to vibrate. Stop stirring and watch the crystal return to normal.

Build a Carbon Nanotube

Use the molecular model to build your own carbon nanotube!

Atom Transporter

Explore the way scientists move atoms around at the nanoscale.

Rope Scope

Use a microscope to see what everyday objects look like on a small scale!

Build a Molecule

Use the molecular models to build different types of molecules. The three different colors represent different elements (carbon, nitrogen, and oxygen).

Zoom into Nano

Use the steering wheel to zoom into a butterfly wing and a computer chip. You control the magnification!
