Schedule A Visit or Workshop

The NRC's NNIN Education Office offers a variety of programs for schools, groups, and teachers. Please read below about the types of activities we offer in our Education Outreach Brochure and email us about your interest in participating in one of our programs.

For student groups we provide programs that introduce students to nanotechnology through lectures, hands-on activities, demonstrations, and tours. Because of space and personnel limitations we can only accommodate student groups of up to 25 per visit. We recommend that you plan a visit of a minimum of two hours. If you are interested in arranging a visit, please complete the School Visit Request Form.

We are also available to make presentations at your school. For this program, we will be providing lectures, hands-on activities, and demonstrations. Please complete the School Visit Request Form.

For teachers we provide workshops on how to include nanotechnology in secondary science classrooms. We offer workshops ranging in duration from two hours to two days. Workshops can be at a school, district, RESA, or here at the NRC. We present lessons that are tied to science topics currently taught in science classrooms and tied to Georgia Performance Standards. If you are interested in arranging a teacher workshop, please complete the Teacher Workshop Request Form. Workshops held at the NRC can accommodate up to 50 teachers.

All forms can be faxed to the NRC at 404-894-5028 or emailed to Joyce Palmer.
